Our Hiring Process

Stage 1

Internal Review

Once we've received your application, a member of our team will review it. If you are a potential match, we'll start the interviewing process.

If we don't think you'll be a fit this time around, we'll let you know as soon as possible by email.
Stage 2

Phone Interview

We'll move on to a phone screen if your application passes the initial review. You'll be asked to schedule a time to talk to a team member to discuss your skills and experience. We'll discuss the particulars of the job and company and ensure it's a position you would be happy to grow in.
Stage 3

Interview - Remote

If things are still good, we'll schedule a remote interview with your future manager and the team members you may work with if hired. We'll seek to understand more about your experience and skills, how they mesh with the role we are trying to fill, and what makes you tick. You'll pick the time that is good for you, and we'll send you a remote meeting link.
Stage 4

Interview - In Person

When possible, we'll schedule an in-person interview with your future manager and various team members you may be working with if hired. We'll dive deeper into your expectations and goals, how they mesh with the role we are trying to fill, and determine if it will be a good fit.
Stage 5

CAD Evaluation

Candidates perform a CAD evaluation using either AutoCAD or Revit to appraise their current skill level and determine any training that may be necessary.
Stage 6

Offer

Once we're both aligned, we'll make you a formal offer. We will send the offer by email, and you can sign it digitally. It will include information about work expectations and your internship schedule. 
Stage 7

Hired

Welcome! We'll be sending you an email with all the details you need for the first day of your internship at APD.
